Mother's Day Mini Sessions at Ollin Farms--Longmont, CO
Mother's Day mini sessions at Ollin Farms in Longmont, CO were a big hit! Six families joined me for a beautiful day on the farm. The weather was perfect, the grass was green and there were plenty of genuinely happy people! This was such a fun experience and I hope to offer minis again soon!
This was the first time I have ever offered mini sessions and I was definitely nervous! I felt so much pressure to get all of the images I wanted to deliver in a small window of time. It has always been so important to me to show up for my clients and give them the best service I am capable of and I didn’t want anyone to feel like it was rushed. But you know what? The first family came and all of my nerves disappeared! Their smiling faces gave me the confidence to just jump right in. It went incredibly smooth...probably because my husband Adam was there to help keep track of time, feed me snacks and carry my step-stool for me… I am only 5’ so it is an essential item at every shoot! And people always get a kick out of it so it is kinda part of the experience now! Ha ha! We wandered around this beautiful open space, stopping here and there for photos and talking the whole time. And even though the minutes flew by, I was still able to genuinely connect with these amazing couples and their sweet, sweet children.
The best part of this for me was getting photographs of the beautiful mamas with their babies. Moms are always behind the lens and it’s rare that we actually get to be in the pictures with our family. It was so special to be able to capture these lovely moments. Please enjoy the gallery of images from our fun day at the farm! Doesn’t everyone look so amazing?? Check out this blog to see how they put together such great outfits!
If you are interested in joining me on the next mini shoot or would like to schedule a full family portrait session, message me and let’s get the ball rolling! The days are long but the years are short and these little people grow up way too fast.
